Leetcode Problem 2224. Minimum Number of Operations to Convert Time

2224. Minimum Number of Operations to Convert Time

Leetcode Solutions

Greedy Approach to Minimize Operations

  1. Convert both current and correct times to minutes.
  2. Calculate the time difference in minutes.
  3. Initialize a counter for the number of operations.
  4. Perform the following steps until the time difference is zero: a. If the time difference is greater than or equal to 60, subtract 60 and increment the counter. b. If the time difference is less than 60 but greater than or equal to 15, subtract 15 and increment the counter. c. If the time difference is less than 15 but greater than or equal to 5, subtract 5 and increment the counter. d. If the time difference is less than 5 but greater than or equal to 1, subtract 1 and increment the counter.
  5. Return the counter as the minimum number of operations required.
